Hello! My name is Kara. I am a Front-End Web Developer

About Me

I grew up in the suburbs of Vancouver, BC but have called Vancouver home for the past 7 years. I am an avid world traveller and enjoy exploring new cultures and countries. It took me several years to finally find my passion, but I have found it in Website Design. I am a graduate of the Technical Web Design program at the British Columbia Institute of Technology. I have a keen interest in expanding my knowledge in Website Accessibility and other programming languages. In my leisure time, I enjoy playing and watching sports, participating in fitness and planning my next big trip.

Portland City Project

Static Website

Toolkit: HTML5 CSS3 JavaScriptjQuery

This was an early school project which required us to build a static website on a city of our choice and to include a contact form coded from scratch. At this point in the program we had not learned responsive design yet, so this site is only viewable on desktop.
